Faux Bone...completed piece
I had a few enquiries as to what I intended to do with the faux bone pieces I stamped into, so I sat down today (whilst teaching :) ) and finished off this little piece, it is a 4x4 inch canvas...well it was a canvas until I tore the canvas off of it and just used the wooden frame. The texture is liquid nails faux rust.

Bird House
Here is Scrapware's wonderful full sized birdhouse, I have painted it gold and then over painted in red, while the red paint was still wet, I stamped into it to remove some paint in a nice flourish pattern...I then sprinkled a little clear embossing powder over the entire thing to give some texture. The roof is black texture paste over a Tattered Angel glimmer screen.
my play with Faux Bone
I love new and interesting things and Faux Bone is no exception, I heated it up and merely pressed an inked stamp into the surface...the detail is brilliant, each piece is 1 inch.
My take on what the product is...I really think it is perspex but I have read elsewhere that they believe it to be PVC.
Jigsaw swap
My friend Sue has got me involved in a jigsaw swap, so far I have completed hers (black and satellite white), mine (red & black), and another lady (dark green)...I just need everybody else to send their blanks for me to decorate :)
Shadowbox Frame
all MDF pieces used are Scrapware (mini flowers, bird on a branch, flourish, leafy branches, shadow box frame), the paper flowers and leaves are Prima, the lace behind the image is home rusted doilie, the lace trim at the top and bottom of the frame are white German Scrap...her crown is altered gold GS, as is the trim on top of the page. Her wings are stained acetate that I ran through my Cuttlebug.
Textures used: embossing and impasto.

reclaiming...cabinet card layout
Originally I had the pic of my Grandparents as a cabinet card, just hanging happily in the lounge room, but when my order of TH Grungepaper arrived, ideas of all things vintage flowed and this is what I created. I was actually going to use it to submit to a scrapbook design team...but decided against it...my stuff isn't really scrapbook stuff anyhoo.

tic toc tiny things
I've had these little dragonflies for a while and decided it was time to create with them...I pulled apart an old fob watch and after staining the dragonflies with glimmer mists, I sunk them in to a little diamond glaze...this made the colours run a little, so I adhered more dragonflies on top once the DG was set, and added some punched flower shapes. I also had sprinkled glass beads and glitter before the base DG set.
You can see by my finger tip modelling just how minute the little fellas are...the little square is an inchie.

brag brag brag
I am just popping in to share my bragable news with all of the world...or at least those who follow or read my blog...Prima Marketing inc. has shown some interest in some of my art...so much so that they have just asked to buy 6 of my designs...I can't give away all the details as it will be a super surprise for when it has come to fruition :)

This is a super duper opportunity for me because I will get to see some of my designs become reality....I am sooooo excited!
