WOW...I'm inspired

being an unrestricted freelance artist has opened a lot of doors for me and allowed me to meet some great people and work for some top companies. Last week I met Suzanne Webster from chipboard company WOW, I was invited to create with their products...of course I said yes and this is one of the pieces I put together using one of their products, I used the floral arch....it is soooo delicate!
I used PVA to get a nice texture on the frame and the Martha Stewart glitter pens to colour the tiny flowers and vines.
Don't you just love the green at the bottom?! Do you think you know what it is?...it's resin!
I don't ever watch online tutes of scrapbooking techniques but this one time I did, Louise Williams was playing with glaze and alch. inks and I was totally inspired to have a play...but I decided to use the resin that was lining my mixing pot. I used my finger nail to lift a corner and pulled the entire piece away from the pot, I then tore it into smaller pieces and spotted it with drops of blue and green alch. inks. The blue flower is Dimensional Magic over acetate with electric blue German Glass Glitter sprinkled over it, dried and punched out with one of my whale punches.
Louise is a very talented artist...although she says she doesn't consider herself an artist, I say she is and I thank her for being so generous in sharing her techniques. To check her out jump over to her blog...http://louisewilliams.typepad.com/
