Who wants to make an art doll?

Well if you squealed out "meeeee" then it's your lucky day. Yesterday on Facebook I posted a comment and said that if I got 100 replies I would share a step-by-step tutorial on how to make one of my dolls...I made a side bet with Natalie Wolfe from Scraptivate...and the bet was that she couldn't get the posts to 100 by midnight (Perth, Western Australia) time...I even promised her an art doll if she could do it...and she did it, she posted everywhere and I ended up with a pile of new friends through it all...anyhoo enough of my rambling...Free Tutorial for Art Doll by Linda Baldock

I'm an art sponsor

look at the neat little non blinking blinky I have because I am an official sponsor for Camp Mojo next year...I'm a "Mojoey". I'll be contributing an original flooded canvas which will be a prize...the canvas will be different from any other I have made as it will have one of my O.A.K art dolls imbedded in the resin. I should have that finished this week and of course I will blog it so everybody can see it.

Cards + Art = Glamerous Gifts

I've recieved quite a few emails from people, asking me to show all of the cards that I am teaching at Fred the Needle next weekend, so here they are. There are four gift cards and one hanging tag. The class will have you creating one card of your choice and the tag...if you are a fast worker then you can make two cards...as always my samplers are just and idea of what you can create, and the colours were my own choice. Students can work with any colours they like for both the blooms and the cards. Please make sure to call the store to recieve all the details you need. I will be there half an hour early on the day for those who want some help in picking supplies.

Display what you create

I love sharing what I make but I have never really thought about how others display my creations when they are hosting me as a teacher...until now :)
Sue (owner/manager) of Scraploot had ordered in "something to display" the wearable pieces I will be teaching there...I had no idea what it was that she had but she told me I could alter it to make it "Linda style"...I was thinking rust and wrought iron but nooooo it was a plain white plaster bust, and so I thought ART DOLL!!! So here she is adorned with some of the prize wearables that will be postal this week (sorry for the delay ladies).

Classes at Scraploot

Sue at Scraploot has taken a shine to my creations and has invited me to teach in her lovely store, the 6x6 and 10x10 memory boxes are just one of my classes. If you give the ladies a call at the store they can fill you in on the details...better yet, why don't you pop in! At the moment they are having a massive sale to make way for lots of new goodies.
There are some exciting plans too that include me hosting a regular monthly Friday night where I'll teach you my way of playing with a variety of products and techniques that you will be able to use in your creations.
I'll be working on my list and handing over to the boss lady tomorrow...so look out for that!
Check my list on the right of my blog for all of my classes and details of where you can catch up to play and create with me :)
So...who wants to get their hands dirty?

Anyhoo back to the winner...I decided to give away three prizes, the first prize goes to MIMJA, you may choose the original ring or you can opt for your own colours/design which can be in a ring/brooch or unmounted. Second and third prizes goes to NIC F and JANELLE, your prizes are large unmounted blooms in my choice of colours/style. Please send me your postal details within 7 days or I will draw new winners.
