My contribution to a paper bag book swap

This is the first paper bag book swap I have every been in, and these are the two pages I have created to go with the "nature" theme. I'm really looking forward to seeing the completed project.

faux metals ATC

One of the Yahoo groups (DCI), I am on, is currently running a metal type ATC swap...this is my take on it. I have used irridescent medium because it retails a metalic look under the other colours as I heat it, and it draws in a little colour. The beautiful ballerina is part of collage sheet available from Altered Pages , the frame is Scrapware and has brass paint and gilding wax over it.

Perth Class - May 2010 - Scrappindipity

I am very excited to be teaching this fun little flutterby book/shrine in Perth, in May this year. I'll be in my home state for two weeks and in that time I will be creating at Scrappindipity...if you are interested, stay tuned for further details :)
For those attending the class, we will be working with fusible film, paint, ink, impasto and more!

Grow and Bloom

I have just been adopted by the girls over at Scrap,Chat 'n' Challenges as a new member of the Design Team, my job is to come up with some fun mixed media projects, I run my monthly challenges as "Mix it up".
For this project I used Scrapware poinsettia flowers and their plain photo frame. The piece looks simple enough but the challenge is to use cotton wool balls and tweezers in your application of medium.

ATC...one in need of a home (ADOTED BY KAY)

I just love these ATCs I made today...I call them teasers because the texture is under the acrylic and you can't touch it...so it's a tease right? lol
I made three, two of which are going postal in private swaps...the very first person to email me at my new email address can have the third. My new email is under my photo :)

A house

I got this great little house kit a while ago and just rediscovered it, unopened!, so I thought I would put it together and decorate it. I have used old book pages, distress inks, shellac, fusible film, angelina fibers, chipboard, embossing...etc!
Please note that the tiles on the roof were placed individually...I used a tiny tag punch and placed them all one tiny tile at a time.

a sketch

I enjoy sketching but have been so busy for a while now that I just haven't had the time, it relaxes me and I really enjoy it and that is what is important. This sketch doesn't mean anything, she doesn't even have a title or name, she was just something I did last night as I lay in bed. She won't stay as a lead sketch, I am going to get out my inks and pastels and finish her off...in my own time :)

The State of things

well this is where all the action is at the moment, projects everywhere, lol...and yes I have taken over the kitchen table also as well as an additional 6 seat table :)
