PA DT ATCs

I created these 4 Artist Trading Cards as part of my PaperArtsy Design Team submissions, they sort of remind me of a batik dress I had when I was little.
The submissions I am working on are all using the new "Squiggly Ink" range.
I used Starburst Stains, Treasure Gold and Crackle Accents to add character and a little Kindy Glitz as faux bling.

12 days of Xmas invitation only swap

I can't share the details of who this swap is with or through but I was invited to take part. We had to each choose one of the "12 days of Xmas", I chose 8 maids a milking and have decided to make art dolls.
The background is painted texture paint, I also used fusible film.

ATC

I just made this ATC using MADJAK Juicy Junk backgrounds

Etched ATC...the Midas touch

A lady by the name of Colleen Booth sent me an ATC a couple of months back and asked if I"d be interested in a swap...the theme was "Midas Touch", which means gold themed, I was teaching the Peacock Princess art doll today and while my student decorated the base I made 3 ATCs in the theme requested, one will head to Colleen, one to Barb T and the other to a secret recipient who is quite keen to get her hands on an ATC from me.

The ATCs were made using black matteboard, which I embossed with MADJAK's Divine Gold fine embossing powder, I then attached a piece of one of my mini etched brass bits after I drilled holes and threaded and twisted goldtone wire and beads....I think it looks gold enough :)

mother nature's house

Liz Gale will be the next person to hold this piece as it will be heading her way this week.

I used white Jo Sonja texture paste, stamped into it with foam stamps and then smeared with rub n' buff...such a soft pastel piece.

house of ill repute

Martina Hart will be the new owner of lovely Marilyn, when I was thinking up this piece MM was the lady for the job, the piece is super simple with embossing and a good coat of opal dust to add some glamour.

a house of memories for Rob Keogh

I have used a picture of my grandparents for this piece...the picture is actually the master image of one of my stamp designs for MADJAK Designs :)

That's impasto around the top and lower corner and the lace that is peeking from behind the picture is some hand rusted doillie I had just begging to be used :)

Here is a little template for a Xmas bauble, I made it for a swap I am hosting on Zuzu's Petals and Buds but it is a free for all if it inspires you. I have written the size we are using for the swap but I think it would be just as nice at a larger size...perhaps even as a tree topper!

If you do use it please share the finished piece :)

Fairy House

This was the last housie I made last night...well this morning, I finished at 2am.
It has lots of sparkle and glitz, with a highly textured background.
I also used angelina fibers as well as fusible film.
This housie flutters off to Chris Bennett today

Bird Housie

my original idea for this housie was to create a cage look but it was a bit distracting from all the stamping and embossing of the birds.
I used a dark blue sharpie pen on the gold birds to draw in wings and feathers...interestingly the ink sort of sunk into the gold embossing and when you tilt the piece it has a rainbow shimmer to it.
I hope Carol Sweeney enjoys this.
