a bird in the hand...and burning metal

I started a new quest blog last week HERE
to encourage people to think a little differently. The quests are open to everybody and are run weekly...so far I am the only player and I hope the will change quickly.
The first quest was to be inspired by the word "branch".
Branch to me is a growth word, it reflects my artistic life in the fact that I have "branched out", I have gone from a scrapbooker to an explorer, I experiment, I play, I teach and I learn.
I went to a little Asian supermarket and found some neat little oval tins that they told me were used for baking...I saw them as shrines because they are thin aluminium and so I got out my shellac, paints, and resins and had a great time making something.
The little brass washers are going to be used in something wearable and are simply chemically etched brass washers that got the heat treatment after their etching was done...I love the colours and will be using resin to seal and protect them.
