kisses and dreams

I have created these two gothic arches for Mandy's "Kiss" swap theme...don't ya just loooove those lips?!

the canvas was created as my mystery muse piece on a yahoo group, the image is a fabric transfer, I have then used acrylic paints, stamping, embossing and a smear or two of "patina" rub n' buff...I think she is lovely and I'm going to have to make one for me to keep (the canvas size is 5"x7")

Scrapbook DNA

I just returned from a crop night held at a lovely little store called Scrapbook DNA, I was made to feel very welcome by not only the great staff but also the "scrappers", I even did a challenge LO...my first in over 3 years...I muffed it up of course and got carried away with adding things to it, and so it was disqualified but they decided to keep the LO to display which I thought was really nice and very encouraging :)
And of course me being me just had to show some of my most fave things such as Grungeboard and fusible film oh and of course resist stamping.
Scrapbook DNA may be a small store but it has a big heart, I encourage you to pop in and have a chat...and of course do some spending :)

I had alot of fun with this and am really pleased with the front....not so pleased with the rest of it, I think I'll keep looking at it for a couple of days and maybe pull it apart.

Tryptich ATC

today I played with my Judikins "Alcove" palette stamp, I've had it for nearly a year with the full intention of playing...well I rediscovered it today and gave it a go, very nice for a water colour effect.

I made a book mark and a hanging thingy both using Paper Artsy's new Squiggly Ink stamps.

I was thinking pink and Stampboard for the Valentine ATC, it is stamped using a combination of Squiggly Ink stamps from Paper Artsy. (The gold is from a Krylon pen...I call the technique "hit and miss", because I dab the krylon leafing pen directly onto the stamp, taking care not to make it a perfect or even coverage...the more you miss the better the look)

The arch is also stamped with a combination of Squiggly Ink stamps.(BG is liquid nails, fusible film and distressing, I have also mounted the butterfly on a square of stamped acetate)
