Well I have always aimed to please my faithful followers and so I'm giving you a chance to win a one of a kind Bloom Babe ring topper in your choice of colours...love the art but would rather use it as a brooch? No worries just use some hot glue to attach a brooch back or stick it to a magnet and put it on the fridge!...The possibilities are endless!
Now to win you simply have to post a comment here and place a link to the give away on your blog/web page...I'll use random.org to draw a random number on the 5th of June.

Flooded Canvases...ROCK!

well it's true, they do but I have actually decorated a small smooth rock that I found on one of my walks...yeah I will draw on just about anything! The two new flooded canvases are called "No sign of blue" (bush scene) and "Drowning, not waving" (water scene)...both are 16x20 cm

fusible film flutterby and sample chips...possible mosaic?

I had a sample board of the different fusible films I own...showing the variety of colours...it has been sitting in my drawer for ages and I thought I would glaze them...but not before running them through the cuttlebug and highlighting the raised areas with a swipe of ink.
The butterfly is a small wearable Scrapware piece that got exactly the same treatment. Methinks that I will squish the squares into some texture paste and make a mosaic....maybe even flood them with resin?!

more than just chipboard

I love Scrapware chipboard blooms...I think most people know that and I love that people are having as much fun as me in their recreations of them...after all art is all about playing and experimenting. Today I made some polymer clay faces to adorn some of the blooms, I also experimented with fusible film and layers of diamond glaze to make them super glossy.

Two Tone Embossing Powders available at Fred the Needle

Check out the two photos of the ATCs...can you see the brilliant colour differences? And how about the butterfly? The photos don't really do the shimmer justice but I know it's there :) Lindy's Stamp Gang produces my most fave. glitzy products, amongst their range are the two tone embossing powders...they are DIVINE!!!! The Butterfly and the ATCs were created with them....and a little dab of Starburst Stains.
Are you interested in playing with some of the lovely goodies that I adore? Well if can't find them locally to you then I suggest you call the girls at Fred the Needle...tell them I sent you!

and now for some words

For the last few weeks I have been super busy with making my samplers for SIA (trade show) here in Sydney. I was lucky enough to have the chance to be a part of the Scrapware exhibition stand. Lisa, Kim, Ange, Gilly and I had a wonderful time and got to meet some super people.
I love art that is wearable, so I dedicated a great deal to making some spectacular wearable pieces...the butterfly pin was well accepted, the birdcages were also loved but people went crazy for my wearble blooms. I think by the end of the day just about everybody that passed by our stand was proudly wearing one. Tracey from Lindy's Stamp Gang sent me my design team pack and it was so full of wonderful glitzy goodies...amongst the stash was a selection of Magical Micas...wowzers are they brilliant and so totally perfect for the Blooms.

lots of photos
