A house

I got this great little house kit a while ago and just rediscovered it, unopened!, so I thought I would put it together and decorate it. I have used old book pages, distress inks, shellac, fusible film, angelina fibers, chipboard, embossing...etc!
Please note that the tiles on the roof were placed individually...I used a tiny tag punch and placed them all one tiny tile at a time.
The house is from Doodlebug design

Stunning as usual. It must be great to know that if you ever tire of 'art' you could always get a job as a tiler - that roof looks fan-blooming-tastic!!! LOL.

Hugz......

PS Hope you dried off okay aftet I pushed you into the pool at Rhondies. DH wanted to know what I'd been up to when I came home so wet. Thanks, sweetie.

This is stunning. The tiles are wonderful. I love that door! And the way the ink/shellac (maybe?) is dripping down the paper...beautiful. Of the various houses I've seen done on different places, this has to be my favorite by far!

Gorgeous. Isn't shellac just the best?? I've been using it on my ICE collage series this year. It's marvellous stuff for ageing a work!!!

This house turned out amazing!!! I just love the dripping of glaze or whatever it is down the side of the home. If it were a real house I'd say "hey, I think your stucco is stained." But we mixed media artist's love those rustic stains don't we. But most of all the tile roof is over the top great. I can only imagine how long that took you to do? But what's more, it just looks awesome. You did such an outstanding job on it and the rest of the house.

I've bought those two Doodlebug houses before in both sizes. I did like a home, memories of growing up type project on them. They turned out pretty okay I think? Somerset Memories actually did an article on it which I was pretty proud of. My sister nagged me to death until I gave them both to her.

At any rate, the only reason I brought that up was because I have bought those houses before and I too enjoyed putting them together. Although now, I think I prefer the Maya Road houses.

I love all your artwork by the way. Very inspirational all the time. That Spring carnival doll was absolutely amazing.

Sorry to blab on and on.
