Board book ~ Bride page

I love this page, very busy and full of yummy things...TH crackle paint and Jo Sonja crackles worked together over a patterned paper, the crackle was so delicate but I sealed it with a good coat of gel medium before applying some gold rub n buff.
The lace was tinted with a little wash in a walnut ink solution.
The image was originally black and white but has been distressed and tinted to a lovely sepia tone before I applied a smear of Vaseline and did the credit card/peeling paint technique.
The marriage certificate was one printed out from a vintage ephemera book.

12x12 board book...possible class (mother page)

12x12 board book...possible class

now I have to tell you I haven't scrapped in a long while except one challenge piece, so when my lovely boss asked me to be the heritage teacher for scrapbooking...well I was terrified, and besides I don't have any vintage family snap shots...lucky for me my wonderful students donated some of their family...of course I was still a bit apprehensive until she said I could do a big board book...yeah yeah it's still scrapbooking but my mind was working on the fact that it was a board book and not a photo album...it worked for me lol
I welcome all scrapbookers to over their insight on my attempts :)

RR for PA yahoo group

I got my hands dirty with this RR for the PA Yahoo group, it's off to Trish Latimer tomorrow :)

making people happy

sometimes we do things...or create things that are not our style, they are beyond our comfort zone...different and perhaps challenging, this piece, although made by me is not my style, not my "zone", but in saying that I am sure there are people who will like it...so here I share an altered paint tin....

fun with ink and MADJAK stamps

wow what a looooong weekend lol
I worked at FTN on Friday night teaching, we have just commenced a gothic arch club and we have begun with gel medium and lace paper....the ladies all did fabo pieces but they wouldn't let me keep them :(

Last night I did a Stampboard demo and play at Scrapbook DNA and we all had fun...although I was the only one not in Gay Mardi Gras garb...I have had to name my heat gun "Kim's fun toy"....it was very funny and now they know what a heat gun is and the basics of embossing....(wink wink Mandy), they are a super fun little group.

Today I played some more with the MADJAK prototypes and am very pleased with them, so I can phone the manufacturer tomorrow and say "go go go" :)

yay! they are finally here, I'll be playing more over the weekend and consorting with my DT before giving the final nod for production...but so far I am very pleased, this junky looking sample has incorporated pieces of Juicey Junk paper :)
