I am in the middle of about a dozen or so projects,so took some time out to play with baby wipes, I used silk dyes and gold embossing powder on them.
I also decided to play with the last few keyholes (Collections) that I have....I'll have to order a few bags I think because they are just lovely to play with.
The ATCs are for a swap

This is a little sneak peek at a little paper mache house I am decorating, my friend Jenny gave it to me when I was in Perth and I began working on it while I was there....every shingle on the roof is hand punched and is about the size of a short pinky nail...I bought a mini tag punch from Spotlight and it proved to be perfect for cutting the shingles. I will be taking my time on this project as it is just for me, so there is no need to hurry :)

Behind the Mask

I picked a couple of cool paper mache masks in Perth at Collins Crafts in Balcatta, I thought they were super neat and gave one to my daughter and brought the other one home to decorate...I am going to take my time with it but so far it is looking good...I think :)

I have painted it gold and then darkened the eye sockets and have put little scales of fusible film on it, the copper coils I have stuck on the side are available from the Thread Studio (also in Perth).

I used liquid nails to stick the coils on and decided to play a little with that....ya know anything is a medium right?! Anyway, I squished some of the liquid nails onto a plastic lid and added some Lumiere paints (the lovely pink gold), I mixed with a popsicle stick and then smeared it onto an ATC card blank, using a toothpick I drew swirls and dropped paint onto the paste....I then got out my trusty heat gun and cooked the mix and ooooooooooh it bubbled and blistered and dried nicely, I then smeared some gold rub n' buff onto it and took my black stazon and swiped across the surface....then I cut out the little kimono shape...soooooo if anybody wants it just email me and I'll post it over to you...but remember it is small....perfect for an ATC!!!

I also have made this devine ATC for a swap at Scraptivate....I really like it and am going to make a stack of them I think :)

Fleur de Lis

I came across a group called Wednesday Stamper http://wednesdaystamper.wordpress.com/ and saw they have some fun challenges, so being the challenge hound that I am I decided to use one of Collections chipboard housies and happily decorated it according to the current challenge....Fleur de Lis :)

I used Stazon (Jet Black) to colour the board, stamped and embossed FdL images with fine detail gold, painted the board with PVA and then put some fusible film down and super heated it with my trusty heat gun, I then added the other little bits of previously prepared chipboard (comes with the house :) ) and stuck a gold FdL in the framed area...yes I stamped, embossed and then cut it out....it looks quite flat but if you look close enough you will see that I even cut out little pieces of it to show the colour through....hope that makes sense :)

I quite like it...very sparkly and colourful...nite photo doesn't do it justice though.

Fun with Collections

If I haven't said it before then I'll say it now....I loooooove to play and create and I looooove using the wonderful Collections products by Julie Van Oosten, today I got stuck into playing with the new chipboard house...I made four and of course had to incorporate some of the devine fusible film :)
I also have to say that JVO's lovely new chipbord keyholes are to die for....soooooo run run run and hunt them down!!! I rusted one with Tim Holtz distress embossing powder (Vintage Photo) and I think it is lovely
